The project "Bio4Drinks - Obtaining Multifunctional Natural Ingredients for the Beverage Industry" (hereinafter Bio4Drinks) is constituted, in a consortium, by five national entities: Tree Flowers Solutions, Super Bock Group, FermentUM, Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, More - Laboratório Collaborative Mountains of Research and CIMO - Mountain Research Center, arising from the need to find a solution to obtain natural ingredients for the beverage industry.
The protection of privacy and personal data is a priority for the Bio4Drinks project and a clear commitment made by us. We value your privacy and respect the confidentiality of the personal data you have given us and/or will provide in the future.
This policy concerns privacy practices within the scope of the activity carried out under the Bio4Drinks project, including portals, online sites and other services managed in this context. The personal data that you provide to us during the interaction with the various services will be treated with the guarantees of security and confidentiality required by the legal framework relating to the protection of personal data, further ensuring the exercise of your rights in relation to these data, under the terms of the Law of Personal Data Protection in force.
The services, portals and sites under the responsibility of the Bio4Drinks project may contain links to other sites under the responsibility of third parties. The project's privacy policy applies exclusively to the sites and services under its responsibility. When accessing the websites of other entities, even from the websites under Bio4Drinks' responsibility, you should read the respective privacy policies.
Access to and use of the services, portals and sites, under Bio4Drinks' responsibility, must be free on the part of the user, Bio4Drinks assuming that he has read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions for their use.

Responsible for the treatment
Tree Flowers Solutions is the entity responsible for the processing of all personal data that are provided under the Bio4Drinks project, taking into account the nature, scope, context and purposes of the data processing, as well as the risks to rights and freedoms natural persons, in accordance with the RGPD.
Typology of the data we handle
The personal data subject to processing by the Bio4Drinks project are of a different nature, with regard to the provision of services promoted on electronic platforms and other services under its management.
According to the type of services provided, the following can be collected: the IP address; the name; the age; the tax identification number; the civil identification number; the social security number; the identification document number; the address; the email address; and the mobile number.
Data processing
The processing of personal data and special categories of personal data, consists of an operation or a set of operations carried out on personal data or sets of personal data, through automated means, or not, namely the collection, registration, organization, structuring , conservation, adaptation, recovery, consultation, use, dissemination, dissemination, comparison, interconnection, limitation, deletion or destruction.
The processing of personal data is governed by the principles of lawfulness, loyalty and transparency, in strict respect for the reservation of privacy, rights, freedoms and fundamental guarantees of its holders.
In this context, the Bio4Drinks project undertakes to keep the collected data confidential, in accordance with the state of available technology, confiding the information treated by this means and additionally adopting the necessary measures, within its reach, to prevent its loss, misplacement or improper manipulation.
Under no circumstances will the collected data be used for any purpose other than that for which the data subject's consent was given or the condition of legitimacy of the processing.
Personal Data Security
The Bio4Drinks project, in the pursuit of its activities and provision of its services, uses a set of technologies and security procedures suitable for the protection of your personal data, protecting unauthorized access or disclosure, namely:
Physical security measures, such as the control of access of employees, collaborators and visitors to the premises of the headquarters and, on the Data center facilities, very restricted mechanisms of fighting intrusion, extinguishing fires, monitoring equipment and housing equipment in dedicated racks;
Logical security measures, in the component of access to systems and workstations through authentication and privilege mechanisms; in the network component, the use of firewalls and intrusion detection systems, segregating networks and application environments, as well as information encryption through secure communication channels.
It is, however, your responsibility to guarantee and ensure that the computer you are using is adequately protected against harmful software, computer viruses and worms.
However, it should be noted that whenever data collection is carried out on open networks, such as the Internet, your data may circulate without security conditions, with the risk of being seen and used by unauthorized third parties.
Who has access to your personal data
Tree Flowers Solutions is the entity responsible for processing the personal data of users of the services and website referring to the Bio4Drinks project. However, this data can be collected and/or used by partners, namely technological partners and others. To this extent Tree Flowers Solutions certifies that its partners are subject to confidentiality obligations regarding this data that are no less strict than those of the project itself.
When establishing relationships with external service providers, these entities are required to act in accordance with our internal data security and confidentiality policies when processing user data.
In case you store or transfer data to a service provider based outside the European Economic Area, we take the necessary measures to ensure that your personal data is properly safeguarded.
As a rule, the project does not share users' personal data with third parties with whom it has not established a contractual relationship that provides for the confidential treatment of these data in accordance with this privacy statement. Whenever the other data are shared (eg usage data), the user will be informed in advance, and the identity of the recipients and the purpose of the processing of the given data will be transmitted, so that the user can decide whether or not accept sharing.
The Bio4Drinks project may communicate your personal data to third parties provided that, for this purpose, you have unequivocally obtained the consent of the users referred to in the previous point or when: (a) the transmission is carried out in compliance with a legal obligation , a decision of the National Data Protection Commission or a court order or (b) the communication is carried out to protect the vital interests of users or any other legitimate purpose provided for by law.
Purposes and fundamentals for the processing of personal data
Personal data will only be processed with a view to a set of specific purposes, also considering a set of legal grounds for such processing, including:
Pursuit of the objectives and purposes of the Bio4Drinks project;
Compliance with current legislation and all other legal requirements;
Legal duties of conservation and integrity of documentation;
Carrying out pre-contractual investigations;
Fulfillment of contracts in which Bio4Drinks is a party;
Fulfillment of projects in which the is a beneficiary;
Reporting and auditing projects and activities financed by public resources;
Compliance with quality certifications;
Control and registration of use of facilities and equipment;
Safety and integrity of facilities and equipment;
Newsletter subscription;
Intervention as a subcontractor, as defined in point 8 of Article 4 of the RGPD.
How long do we keep your information
The Bio4Drinks project can keep personal data for as long as it may be required to have some kind of responsibility arising from a legal relationship, the execution of a contract or the application of pre-contractual measures, and always in accordance with the law, the guidelines and decisions of the National Data Protection Commission, or, as applicable, until the data subject exercises its right of opposition, right to be forgotten or withdraw consent.
Whenever there is no specific legal requirement, the data will be stored and kept only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes that motivated its collection and treatment or for the period of time authorized by the Control Authority, after which they will be deleted.
The Bio4Drinks project, in treatment for archival purposes of public interest, or for scientific or historical research purposes, or for statistical purposes, may keep the data for longer periods, without prejudice to apply the adequate guarantees, in terms of the legislation in force, for the rights and freedoms of the data subject. These guarantees imply the adoption of technical and organizational measures aimed at ensuring, in particular, respect for the principle of data minimization.
Data Subject Rights
The data subject has the right, at any time and free of charge, to request, in writing, to the Consortium:
Access to your personal data;
Correction or correction of your personal data;
The deletion of your data (without prejudice to the provisions regarding the period of retention of data);
Limiting the processing of your personal data (idem);
Opposition to the processing of your data;
The portability of your data to the entity indicated by you, as long as it is personal data stored in electronic form.
In all cases, if there is a rule or legally imposed obligation that supersedes these rights, the Consortium reserves the right not to execute the order (or this order be subject to restrictions or conditions, if and when applicable), indicating always and in all the cases the respective grounds to the interested party.
The holder of personal data may file any complaint with the National Data Protection Commission (www.cnpd.pt), as the Supervisory Authority in Portugal, as defined in paragraphs 21 and 22 of article 4 and in article 51 of the RGPD.

The Bio4Drinks project uses cookies and other similar technologies on its websites that improve the performance and browsing experience of its Users, increasing, on the one hand, the speed and efficiency of the response and, on the other, eliminating the need to enter repeatedly the same information.
The placement of cookies helps websites to recognize the User's device on the next visit and is often essential for its functioning.
The cookies used do not collect personal information that allows the User to be identified, saving only generic information, namely the form or region/city of access, among others.
